Notes and tasting comments, 2016 vintage

Now that the primeurs tastings period is over, wine critics and journalists are publishing their notes and comments.

Before sharing their notes, let's go back to the 2015 - 2016 campaign:

2016 started with a dry and soft winter, then a more humid and soft period took place from January to June. The bud-break was early (March 25th), and the flowering regular and homogenous despite the rainfall climatology. A hot and dry summer with no hydric stress (clay soils kept hydric stocks). Veraison was late but quick (started August 8th). A gorgeous late summer, warm and dry for a good maturation of the grapes. Harvests took place from October 3rd to October 27th. 2016 is a great vintage both in quality and quantity.
